Personality.

Sasuke is cold and arrogant with a bad temper. He values life but not loyalty - as he sees such a thing as fleeting and unnecessary. He is very ambitious with a reckless side that goads him along during his journey to reach those ambitions. Because of his goals, he has become very selfish in his quest to achieve them. Now that he has, however... many that see him see nothing but death when they look in his eyes. Beneath everything and buried under the emotionless shell that he has created for himself, he may be a little remorseful and guilty for past actions, but he's (attempted) to destroy those types of feelings long ago.

Appearance.

Sasuke’s hair is kept cropped and short in the back with his bangs growing longer, past his chin. He is on the shorter end of average in height, but that allows him to be quick and speedy. He is toned and built (but not bulky) from years of training. He has black hair and eyes to match, unless he has his Sharingan activated – then his eyes become red with three noticeable ‘commas’ within. He has an androgynous beauty about him that many notice upon meeting him, though the dead hollowness of his eyes and the coldness of his exterior are seen as a huge turnoff. Upon first appearing at the mansion, he is dressed in his black robe, black gloves, black sandals and pants that he is seen wearing during his battle with Itachi.

Background.

Sasuke was the second born son of the police captain for Konoha of the Uchiha clan. When his older brother, Itachi, was noted for his genius and eventually joined ANBU at such a young age, Sasuke was often forgotten and pushed aside by his father for his more talented brother. Despite the hidden jealousy that Sasuke held for his brother, he still enjoyed spending time with him and learning from him directly when it came to basic ninja and Uchiha techniques. One day, however, when Sasuke returned home from the ninja academy, he found his entire clan slaughtered at the hands of his own brother. From that moment on, he labeled himself as an avenger and swore to one day kill his brother…

When Sasuke was twelve, he was put onto a Genin team along with Uzumaki Naruto and Haruno Sakura with Hatake Kakashi as his sensei. At first, Sasuke viewed Naruto as an annoying dead-last and not worth his time, but during their training and working together, Sasuke began to realize that Naruto was a worthy opponent and a friendly sort of rivalry began between them. Every time Sasuke would fight a strong opponent – Haku, Lee, Gaara – he would use the fight to test his strength, and all the while, use every thing he learned from each battle as a stepping stone toward when he would eventually face his brother. But when faced with his own weakness as he realized just how big the gap between Itachi and himself was, Sasuke gave in to temptation and fled Konoha to learn under Orochimaru.

For two and a half years, Sasuke trained under Orochimaru, learning all of his jutsus and training nearly nonstop. When told to kill people, however, Sasuke would refuse, not willing to kill people that he did not know. Eventually, upon deciding that he had learned everything that Orochimaru had to offer, Sasuke betrayed the snake sannin and absorbed a bit of Orochimaru into himself as part of his victory. He then went on to form the group known as Snake that was made up of Sasuke and three other of Orochimaru’s “pets”. With their help, he eventually located Itachi and went in to accomplish his lifelong goal. Through Itachi’s approaching blindness and his underestimation of Sasuke, the younger Uchiha was able to gain the upper hand… up until the point that Itachi pulled out his biggest weapon. Sasuke was about to have his eyes plucked from their sockets… when Itachi, having used too much energy, collapsed and died. Only a short minute later, Sasuke, too, collapsed, exhausted.
